Why it exists
- For academies still run on a register and a WhatsApp group — most of the ones we meet are
- Built around cohorts and batches, not term-long school timetables
- Made first with makeup and fashion academies, because that is who we know best — the shape fits dance, baking, photography and craft teaching too
- For teachers whose intake arrives through Instagram, where the enquiry and the enrolment are the same conversation
What we are building
The scope, grouped by the work it covers.
Courses and batches
- Courses with their own duration, fee and intake size
- Batches scheduled by day and time slot
- Seats tracked, so a batch cannot be over-filled
Students
- Enrolment with contact details and documents
- Attendance per session
- Progress and completion against each student
Fees
- Instalment plans, with what is paid and what is outstanding
- Receipts, and a view of who is behind
Still being built
The Class Room is in active development. The scope above is what we are building first, shaped with the academies we are building it for. We are starting with makeup and fashion because that is the trade we understand best, but the way a batch, a register and a fee plan work is much the same wherever it is taught — if you run an academy of any kind and something important is missing from that list, we would rather hear it now than after launch.
